One of C+L designer Kate's dreams is to create jewelry in collaboration with other artists who work in various media and styles. By doing this, Kate is able to expand her visual language, include imagery she might not have considered before, and share some of her favorite artists and designers with you! Each collaboration will be produced in limited editions of around 20.
About this collaboration:
Ara Santos is a talented illustrator, crafter, plant mom, and -oh yeah, she happens to be an animator on Nickelodeon's Big Nate too! As mutual fans of each others' creativity, Ara and Kate decided to collaborate on jewelry inspired by Ara's adorable painted flower pots. The cute little stylized strawberries shimmy from the top leaves, and have a secret- if you look at them upside down you'll see a little smiley face in the seeds! Each earring measures 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" long and weighs about the same as a quarter
Posts are nickel free/hypoallergenic/surgical steel, and each earring has a drop of resin on the back so no metal will touch your ears.
